Fairytale Communications

Rapunzel… a cautionary tale of communication

Once upon a time there was a damsel named Rapunzel imprisoned in a high tower by an evil witch. When a handsome prince, we’ll call him Eric, heard her singing he wanted nothing more than to release the poor girl.

He stood beneath the tower and shouted, “Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair”. But Rapunzel was A. Uncertain of the young man’s intentions and B. Not sure she’d want him climbing up her hair. Also, being without her glasses, she couldn’t judge his looks, and was dubious of Eric’s intelligence. They attempted to converse, but it was rather awkward, and Eric seemed a little tongue-tied. So Eric shrugged and carried on, and Rapunzel went back to spinning.

What might have been. If only Eric had invested some thought and time into his communications, he might indeed have enjoyed a fairy tale ending. But it really was a bit of a pattern for him, and he singularly failed to attract any damsels.

We wouldn’t want the same to happen to you, so Tin-Can Telephone has developed an intelligent and thoughtful approach to communications. We start with your values and we build from there in a systematic and proven system. We believe in the power of stories to engage and attract the audience that you need.

We would love to hear from you, get your feedback and of course will happily discuss any collaborative projects. And do have a go at the communications quiz on the front page.
